Jason ZeiglerMy name is Jason Zeigler and I am running for Onondaga County Family Court Judge. I am currently an attorney in private practice. I have been practicing law since 2005; initially at the Department of Veterans Affairs and then in my own practice. I have been practicing in Family Court since 2008, and about 60 percent of my current practice consists of Family Court cases. I have handled every type of case heard in Family Court: custody, adoption, support, foster care, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and juvenile delinquency.
Outside of the courtroom I attend and volunteer at Forward Point church, teach American Sign Language classes, and am part of the team interpreting at Faith and Family Night at the Syracuse Mets. I am also entering a new experience of being the parent of an adult as my son recently turned eighteen. My initial work experience consisted of food service and delivery work. I then enlisted in the United States Army, where I ultimately supervised a mobile radar unit with the rank of Sergeant. I went to school at nights and on weekends while I was in the Army and completed three years of college before the end of my enlistment. I have also utilized my experience growing up with two Deaf parents by working as an American Sign Language interpreter. My experience in the courtroom and diverse life experience make me uniquely qualified to be one of your next Family Court Judges; which is why I am asking for your vote on November 7th. |
